Hi Folks.
This page is a sorta info center for my students.

Mr. Seezen's Choppin' Blog

Dear Mrs Nature,
Why did you decide to make it all of a sudden so damn cold again? I didn't mess with you, so why are you messing with me?
Please be so kind as to turn the warm back on, I'm almost out of coal.
Kindest regards,
Mr. Seezen

Finally got me taxes done. Made the deadline. Talk about a damoclese sword pointing at ya.

I used the downloadable software. It's called Elster, which is a rather unfortunate name if one asked me. An elster is, of course, a magpie, that largish black-and-white bird that likes to steal shiny things.

She's come out of her Shell, overcome the vacuum of my spell. I'd say she's doing well.

Boy, it sure is hot out today.

beamer reserved for June 8th, available in all of my classes. That was easy enough. Now I just have to remember to go get it. I booked it at the lsk multimedia lab, and I suppose students can also book them.

I've got a Gmail account. Whoopy.

I haven't used it much in the last few months since I've gotten it (that was American English, btw) but if you write me an email I can invite you, too, to join team G.

If you're interested, just write me at daevczen. You have to guess what the domain name is though.

Surprisingly enough, the students were able to think up some pretty clever and/or unclaimed domain names.

empeethree.museum -- although you might have to be a real museum to get it.

kama-sutra.com -- surprisingly enough, not taken.

po.int -- a website dedicated to pointing devices and pointy implements. (wtf?!)

Here's a little something about signposting (aka signaling) in presentations. Hope it helps.

No joke, Monkeys: this site was the best I could find as far as trendy carp collecting goes. These filthy water pigeons go for 9500 bucks a pop. Anyone savvy enough to make a real web footprint could clean up real nice in that freaky racket.

But still, that was no joke with the trendy. In major cities, for instance, yuppies are raising freaky chicken pedigrees right their in their apartments.

Also, the domain name cocktails.pro has already been taken.

Oh, yeah: some of the woody's car song. (Works better with IE.) or here. Scroll down and hit "play..."

Screw it. Bit Torrent everything you can find from Woody, and be sure to read the lyrics. Father Arlo and Mr Zimmerman surely won't mind; you'll be making the world a better place.

Wanting to learn a few more songs before playing the gig this Saturday (for that wild party at Friedensstrasse 39), I went looking for that one catchy-as-hell tune from that one Apples in Stereo album.

Danged it if I didn't have to go borrowing every single one of their albums just to find it. I almost called up my esteemed former colleague to ask her (she has all their albums). Fortunately, I happened upon the recording, but I had to transcribe the text by ear.

So check it out below. A very catchy tune with a very cool text. [more]

It's Cinco de Mayo, y'all. 05.05.05. Just one more reason I'm a-grinning from ear to shining ear today.

Party at Uwe's.

two scans

I mentioned today that I would put up a few scans of some interesting material which might prove helpful with the presentations. Voila. Here are two out of the six pages -- I thought these were the most pertinent.

If someone would please print 'em out and let me know if the resolution is okay?

Also,

Everyone needs to print out and bring in a grading sheet. I uploaded a GIF and JPG version. Print out which ever one you like.

Jack the Ripper may have been a sailor who also committed similar murders in the Carribbean and Germany as well. Here.
