We're Moving

That is, we're changing hosts. I'd like to thank Graham Spice for hooking me up with free hosting all these years, and I wish him all the fucking best at his new position teaching --and starting a completely new department of studies-- for Washington and Lee University.

I've known Graham since we were 18, living on the same floor of Pembroke at Belmont University. He's not only one of the smartest guys I've ever met, he's one of the best friends one could ever hope for.

Inspiration comes by from time to time. She's a "bad-weather" friend of mine.

William Walker
Recently in the news I read that five pistols belonging to William Walker's army had been stolen from a museum in Nicaragua.

This made me flashback to one of those heritage signs back home, in particular, the one that marks Walker's place of birth-- now a busy corner in the commercial zone of Nashville, at the foot of the "R2D2" skyscraper, where I once worked.

"William Walker--Grey-eyed Man of Destiny" was the title, along with a story akin to the end of Aaron Burr's life, or Kinski in that Herzog film.

here.

After reading the sign, I always envisioned walker to be a sort of stoic-looking Gaby Hayes. Not so; he met his richly well-deserved destiny at the age of 36.

Julie is to France tomorrow for a conference. She'll have time just at the end of cherry season to pick some plump, juicy cherries from her mother's trees. She likes to eat them right from the tree with her mouth. Chomp! Chomp! Then it's back to the conference in Paris where she has many interesting things to say to Nietzche experts from all over the world. Hope they don't notice the cherry stains! Chomp!

Then she'll be back in time for the BRN to watch me play for free on the street, and be very supportive. Keep your eyes posted on You Tube for the following videos.

Dresden proudly gained another child this weekend. Esteemed former colleague Sarah Reader and her partner Konrad have brought a son into the world. Little Wilhem was born this weekend four days ahead of schedule.

After a few days in IC, lil Willie has gained back a healthy weight, and should be home later today.
